#5 Elemi – Broken Neck (-AG) #10 Dipteryx – Dead (RIP)
“I started by killing a dwarf on the LoS, and then badly hurting a Hobgoblin, and scoring in 2 turns, even in Blizzard.
Then Xavii killed one of my players (niggled before).
They took the ball down one side, but without a cage as my blodge, side step, Dtackle took lots of players to get down. We knocked the hobbo down, but they regained it with a 5+ pickup! Our 1d-block knocked him down towards the sideline, and the ball bounced out, and was thrown far far up towards their side, where I had my star catcher. I could easily walk in 2-0.
Xavii continued to punish us - total this game he made 8 blocks and 8 elves left the field...2 cas and 6 KO.
The managed to rush in 2-1 before halftime, handoff to a BC, that had to make 3 gfi in blizzard.
Things looked grim, as we could field 5 players for second half and they were recieving. After one tuen we had 3 players left, but these managed to knock the ball loose, and get a hold of it! And even better, Cymbopogon didnt get knocked down holding on to it! We had a chance to run free for 3-1, but failed the first 4+ dodge in the mass of CD players.
The hobbos messed up a bit, but scored 2 turns after that, 1 player left for me, my thrower.
With 3 turns for them to score and me fielding 2 (!) players things looked grim indeed. Then the game got held up 1 turn (as I still had 4 turns left we lost one, thank god), and we just ran backwards as far as we could. The linman got knocked out, so Copernicia was left all alone for the last turn. He ran as far off along the side as possible, forcing the BC to make 2 gfi to blitz him. Both failed once, used his last reroll on the second, and then rolled doubleskulls on the blitz!
“A verry good and accurate matchreport from spelledaren! I have nothing to add, besides that it was a fun and diffrent game.. Not often we get challenged by elfs.. And they played good, killing on the first block.. That we must respect!
