“This was a contender for worst debut ever. Two deaths and another two badly hurt, and the Happy Hawkers did not manage to break through the Demons' armour for the entire game. By half time, the Hawkers were down to 7 fit men, and they finished the game with only 5 on the field. Just about every block the Demons made included a pow, and very few of the Hawkers did. The Hawkers' troll spent more than half the match wondering what he was supposed to do (hint: not stand there looking really stupid). Only handling errors prevented the Demons from racking up 5 or 6 TDs.

The only comfort I can take from this game is that I can not go any worse.”
