“Well, fearing the worst (terrible track record against CD's)...Da Lash were on the booze the night before. This showed in the way that a lot of them, upon getting the slightest nudge from a dorf or bull, went to lay down for 10 minutes. Gave 'em the chance to badger the Apo for some smelling salts, freshen 'em up a bit.
After a little while, the salts started working, and Da Lash wound up a gear. One skilless BOB, Ardbegh 2, decided enough was enough, and ripped the head off a dorf..but the CD's Apo dashed out faster than than the orc's fans were lobbing beer cans at him in the vain hope he'd fail. This wasn't the end of the story though. Most notable was a fantastic effort by the BOB Talisker...lining himself up to knock down the +ST/Block Troll that was causing a lot of grief, ripe pickings for a boot to the noggin, he breathed deep...got a nostril full of spice that had been inadvertantly left there, and gave the Troll such a whallop that the fans in the 76th row felt it. "Ooooohhhhh....that's gotta hurt" was heard around the stadium...but that soon turned to laughter as they realised the Troll was actually bent in half, and couldn't stand up. "Hahaha, he's not regenerating the poof" was the taunt from the crowds...and though he'll be back in training in a week or so, he'll never be the same with that niggle! Just 1 of 3 cas on the day for Talisker, who quite rightly won the MVP...and some might say for doing the whole of BBVets a favour by niggling that behemoth, he should have had 10spp's worth of MVP !!!
Some damn-lucky 1db's producing POW's, and other moves, saw the CD's potentially winning against the drive, but a decent 2db, and finally a pickup/pass that worked ensured the rightful scoreline was attained. Generally speaking a good game, fortunes swinging back and forth, but overall pretty fair.
The last turn marred this, however. Having had my T16 to score, the lineup was obviously facing as many blocks as Dank could manage, and a blitz...standard fare. No opportunity to push for a 1TTD, so the blocks came. As did a foul. A god-damned T16 foul. Now I feel that Dank's team having dropped nearly 60TS is too good for him...
Dank also tried to laugh off the fine display of sportsmanship (or is that sore-manship?) by claiming it was showing off, or some-such codswallop.
So, please, Dear Reader...be aware..if you adore T16 foulers...Dank's yer man!”
