I never thought I had a real chance to win against his team. I had 11 players, he 15. Among them many many guards and tacklers, 2 good bull centaurs and not to forget 2 Dirty Players. Hey, it is a knock out play offs game. Of course you use them here....
Our team recieved first. We could easily outrun them and could (well, also kind of "were forced") score in turn 2. Then we got a Blitz and run deep. He failed to pick up the ball (only a bull in the backfield), and we scored again, in turn 4. Suddenly we were leading 2:0, and I was beginning to see a possible victory.
Sadly we could not stop his advance and he scored. 2:1.
Hopes went into a 1 turn TD, but since to catcher has no MA increases, he needed to be pushed 2 squares. And one reroll left, so it could work. but it failed for one of the most stupid reasons: A pow instead of a push back, reroll resulted in double pow/skull.
So we went into 2nd half. The Chaos Dwarves proceeded slowly, and scored late.
His set up prevented every hope for a 1 turn TD, so we went into overtime.
He received again (since when is this random and not the one who received the first kick??) and in OT my team was down to 9 players and completely luckless. Double skulls followed failed dodges followed skulls followed failed leaps... His 3rd TD never was in any danger.
In the end I lost. It was what I expected. The luck and 2:0 lead in the beginning and the hopes arising with them made it worse for me that it would normally have been.
I have to mock the Maurai (Pro) team for being too weak to cause cas to Wood Elves. The two cas were caused by fouls. None through a Block. Bah bah, you sissies!
The funeral will take part on Saturday, at the great Oak. Belthesa Horlon was a much respected Lineelf and he will never be forgotten.
A good and fun game, Mephist.
See you on the field for some revenge!! ;-)”
