This battle we will not follow from the field - rather, we shall observe General Mezir as he oversees the deployment of his troops and the development of the battle. At first, all seems well, although Thogguk the Craven starts the battle by ducking for cover (to give him some credit, he does duck onto the human standing right in front of him, so all in all, it could be worse). General Mezir chuckles.

The battle continues. General Mezir is content to see humans falling on their own weapons in their hurry to sacrifice themselves to the Blood God. Impressed by their fervour, Stillgor does the same, and is too badly hurt to fight any longer. Mezir smiles. Khorne will be pleased. Little does he know that Stillgor merely slashed open a minor vein in order to fake an injury, so he wouldn't need to fight any longer, Khowardly as he is! But what the General does not know, the Blood God does! His wrath is about to descend.

Mezir the Great oversees the battle with a grin as the Khowards strike home, and retreat to their base and prepare to defend themselves. All appears to be going well until the Sunshine Kids come up with an amazing display of daring and hammer home a vicious blow. Rattled, the Khowards must regroup once more, as General Mezir the Not-So-Great-Any-Longer berates them for a job not done.

The fight continues, but it's all in favour of the humans. Nothing goes the way General Mezir would have it and blood runs down his face where he has clawed at it in his distress. To save their leader from further suffering, the Khowards make a desperate effort and recover the oblong leathery thing, but it is in vain, as the humans miraculously recover it and stand victorious - for now, for their is still enough time to even the battle.

General Mezir the Desperate forms his plan of action! the legions step forward and come off their marks swiftly. Onward they go, they fly forward, they are about to even the score! But then disaster strikes. The easiest of blows goes awry. The beastmen hit the deck, and it's all over. The last time we see General Mezir he is chewing on his tongue. A bit of blood for the Blood God, then, at the least.
