The Sea Drakes started the match enthusiastically, ready to take on their Norse counterparts. They had been practicing constantly aboard the Nautilus, and felt that they were ready for anything—especially an unexperienced Norse team.

And so it began! The first three rounds of the game brought the cheers of another touchdown to the Sea Drakes. Unfortunately, things went starkly downhill from there. An equal amount of bashing was down back and forth, with a comparable amount of knockdowns. Unfortunately for the Drakes, however, their blows seem to have been very poorly placed; the Norsemen managed to get 4 casualties (three Serious Injuries!), while the Drakes only managed to get two KOs, despite the lower armour of the Norse!

It was a game of brave High Elven valour against the dirty fouling and lucky berserking of the Northmen. It was not a pretty sight.

Ultimately, the Drakes weren't able to wrest the ball away from their Norse opponents, and lost the match.

((A Note: The Luck figure displayed is inaccurate because the game had to be reloaded in the last turn of the game. Orenji's luck stayed at 50% because he never had a chance to do a single thing that turn (as it was in the very last turn), and I didn't manage to do much. Both Orenji and I can attest that throughout the entire match, his luck was good and mine was absolutely rotten. I think I failed at least 40% of my 2+ dodge and GFI rolls, and I was equally unsuccessfuly at injuring. But then, that's the life of those subject to Nuffle…))

Looks like the newly arrived Norse team has Gods on its side.

Good Omens float over Birras Team's helmets, whenever good luck keep flying over them and bad luck is stuck to their oponents'.

Encouraged on their crazy luck, Norses berserked, smashed and stepped on everything that moved (and even some things that didn't even had the chance to move over the whole game).

Neverthless the incredible good luck that beated all probability rules, a sure (and slow) advance into the Elves field was the key to their victory.

I hope luck will be more equal next time, or nobody will want to play Birras Open Team anymore.
