“Fielding a complete 11 for the first time in a few matches the Riot were filled with confidence until they saw it was a Khemri team that coach Bacillen had lined up for the next one. The Riot lined up making scathing comments about Mummy personal hygiene as the kick sailed over their heads.

Anarchy was given the ball on the touchback and the Riot rushed to right field with their blockers cutting a swathe through the skeleton horde...who fought back through Jeroth Rure who ended Bedlam's game in a heavy hit. Anarchy's path was clear though and the Riot went one up.

The Jolly Roger Legion's Sinful Vuul regathered the mid ground kick easily and ran it behind a screen of skeletal remains. The Legion's blocking was effective, with heavy hitting by the skeletons leaving several Beastmen unconscious in their wake. But a gap was left just big enough for Maelstrom to whirl in and flatten Vuul with a horned charge. The ball rolled into the crowd and was pitched to the very centre of the field where a large scrum formed until the siren closed the first half amidst the sound of clashing armour and wailing beast.

In the second half a second kick went to the Legion, neatly gathered by Jeroth Rure. The skeleton's blocking was not quite so effective on this occasion however and an opening was made for Commotion to make the sack and Maelstrom sprinted through to regather. The Skeletons closed ranks quickly and clattered Maelstrom to the ground, senseless. Festion Lyle made a grab for the loose ball, until Clamour joined the fray and flattened him sent the ball flying.

Meanwhile way off the ball Aistra Viel, aided and abbeted by Neth Erius, was gently pushing Hijinks into some crowdsurfing until a slip left Aistra dazed.

Hijinks stepped clear and darted towards the ball-scrum where the heavy handed Skeletons were outnumbering the beastmen but struggling to get clear with the ball until Festion Lyle came up with the ball in some clear ground and sprinted clear..too quickly though and crashed to the ground, dazed from a hard landing.

The ball fell in space and it was Awful Din who collected it and tried to throw to a waiting Hullabaloo. The catch was fumbled and the mummy Amun-Tut Ra-Atum sent Hullabaloo sprawling as Archarious collected the ball smoothly. Some fine blocking from the numerous skeletons left the path clear for Acharious to score the equalizer with little time on the clock.

The following kick went crowdwards and the touchback went to Riot speedster Maelstrom, who faced a perfect Legion defensive line. Maelstrom broke clear but was left unsupported in a desperate bid for the end zone. But his run was stopped violently by Archarious and it closed at 1-1.”
