“With some of their players suffering from a laxative-spiked water supply the pro elves were nervous at the start but elected to recieve the kick.
The kick went shallow and Altariel collected it and flicked it across to Gilthoniel. Celebrian blitzed a clear run downfield and Gilthoniel ran for the line with a strong cloud of blockers. There was little the beastmen could do to stop the fleet footed Gilthoniel from breezing into the end zone.

The kick went very deep and Hubbub failed to pick it up as Ruckus failed to clear the blitzing Gilthoniel. The Riot offence was in tatters as the dead ball was overwhelmed by the speedy elves. But Gilthoniel failed to regather the ball and also fell as he collided with Hubbub. The ball was spilled to the Riot's fans who managed to fling it long towards the area the Riot rush had intended to course through.

Commotion collected the loose ball and rode the tackle from Iluvenis. Commotion returned the hit and broke clear of the Elven blitzers only to step foolishly close to Altariel who tackled him, the ball spilling into Hijinks hands. Hijinks shrugged off the hit of lineman Inwe and with a screen of beastmen ran for the end zone, shrugging a desperate attempt by Ranewen to bring him down, to tie the game at 1-1 with little time to play in the first half.

The Elves kick at the start of the second went wild and the touchback went to Ruckus in the wide zone. The Riot rush headed right and formed up for a good fight ! The elves threw bodies in the path of the rolling beastman maul and hoped their armoursmiths knew their stuff. Poor blocking from both sides left the battle poised, and Ruckus a little exposed. It was Gilthoniel who made the hit, sacrificing his footing in the process. The ball dropped inside the Riot's lines and was regathered by speedster Maelstrom. Now the Riot blockers did their job with Bedlam near killing Blitzer Celebrian, who was saved by the medics. No such luck for Aranel who was sent to his grave by Commotion in full horned motion. But the drive was again halted by a fumbled handoff back to Ruckus though the Elvish defenders were all prostrate and well marked by the marauding Riot blockers.

The loose ball was duly regathered and the beast scrum slowly rolled on towards the end zone and a Ruckus score as the second half closed.”
