“A frustrated Coach Chainsaw took his team to visit the lower rated Khemri side Sons of the Abyss after Coach Bill Brasky offered up the tie.
Having had nasty experiences against Khemri sides in the past, the game started off dirtily has Coach Chainsaw eagerly pointed at a fallen mummy and Fodda duly obliged with an ineffective stamp. Coach Brasky looked on unimpressed, and nodded to a skeleton when Craze was left exposed, who smashed his foot through the orc's skull. Upon an offer of fairer play for the remainder of the match, Coach Chainsaw leapt towards the oustretched hand of his opposite manager whilst shoving the apothecary hard in the back and onto the field. Fortunately Craze's brain was small enough that it did not get damaged when it fell onto the grass and with a bit of bandaging and a few screws in his skull, he managed to play out the game.
In terms of game play, the 'Saws out played their less experienced opposition and broke the initial offense to steal the ball and take the lead through star player Vader. It was almost 2 before half time but the only orc near the touchdown line fell over his own feet and could not take advantage.
The second half was similar, with a bunch of the orcs just getting in the way whilst the more skillful pair Vader and Craze seized the ball to set up two scores for Craze. It was almost a fourth right at the death but B'Nana couldn't hold on to a ball under the attention of an annoyed looking mummy.
Coach Chainsaw was thankful after the game that Craze survived and the rest of the match passed without incident. He was subsequently pelted with litter and stones by the crowd who were bitterly disappointed at the total lack of blood. Still, the 'Saws had suffered in recent matches against much weaker teams.
Mungie was awarded the MVP for being an excellent squad player and keeping the bench warm all game.”
