“Bump In The Night's coach was well aware that his virgin team would struggle against the might of The Guts. Having paid a rogue Halfling chef to knock up a dodgy breakfast concoction he was assured that it would help with the results. Unfortunately the coach was also tempted by the 'special sausages' that the Halfling had prepared and struggled to keep himself together for the duration of the match.
From early on in the match Bump In The Night showed their inability to respond to the experience and skill of their opponents, with Barking Up The Wrong Tree legging it off solo into a heavily populated Orc half to help The Guts to an early lead. They say that fortune favours the bold, but it certainly didn't favour the stupid in this match.
The Guts' coach showed his prowess, out-thinking Bump In The Night's sadly incapacitated leader and mocking him by demonstrating a daring running touchdown with ZugZug, the ultra-violent and non-too sensitive Black Orc Blocker. From there on defeat was stamped across the faces of Bump In The Night's players (thanks to a clever stud pattern on the bottom of The Guts' players' boots).
Lurch landed MVP for being the sole Bump zombie to keep both his arms attached to himself when blocking and Dawn of The Dead picked up her first points for causing an injury that had The Guts' apothecary mixing up 'special medicine' at the double.
Bump In The Night's coach emerged from the pitch latrine four hours after the match ended and declared that he would be back to meet The Guts' coach on the pitch, only he'd like the chance to clean himself up a bit first.”
It seemed 3 of the boys had the runs from the dodgy breakfast bar they went to pre-game. Mothug, Oo'Kay, and MorDor all had the effect at some time during the match.
The Guts had more skill and muscle on their side so it was always going to be tough for Night to get up. The Guts lost the toss and were forced to kick off. They set a very solid LOS with the famous 3 Blitzer Backfield, lead by Me Ball Now. The LOS held up but Night sent a lone werewolf tearing down the sideline looking to go up early in the match. Luckily Me Ball Now was able to catch him and stun him for an extra turn. The Guts then scrambled around the ball to protect it and then Me Ball Now picked it up and headed for the TD line. The team played a big support role and smashed a hole on the sideline for Me Ball Now to scramble in for a TD. That gave Night 2 turns to get a TD before half time. With the Guts D being very solid, the Halftime score was 1 - 0.
The second half was another control rush up the centre. With the kick going out on the full, ZugZug put his hand up for a chance at scoring a TD. The Guts did a very good rolling maul up the centre and eventually resulted in ZugZug going in for the TD. Me Ball Now hang around very close the whole way, waiting for a chance to grab the pill.
With 3 turns left, the Guts wanted to pull another TD. The kick went out on the full which didnt help. With the LOS being very strong for the Guts, Night was forced to try throw the ball way down field to stop the 3rd TD. This went as plan until Da'Smash lept up and intercepted it. With 2 turns to go the Guts had a chance at a 3rd TD. The team smahsed a gap along the sideline but Da'Smash slipped while making the final step into the TD zone.
Final result, 2 - 0.
The MVP went to MorDor for his spectacular dash accross the pitch holding his pants clearly being effected by the "Morley's Revenge".
