“The Porks recieved the mid-field kick as the Riot bench beat up on the ref. The Porks blockers opened the game well, stunning warrior Turmoil and inching left to form a good screen for the run. But Bedlam crunched Bruce Pork with a heavy hit and left a hole for Maelstrom to charge down Origami and chase the ball downfield, which the orcs had hitherto ignored.

The Orc hitting continued though, with big Tony Pork stunning Bedlam in revenge for Bruce's injury and Organic knocking warrior Awful Din out in a big hit. Thrower Taribo gathered the ball cleanly but remained exposed to a Maelstrom charge. Taribo was flattened but Maelstrom failed to collect the ball, as the Riot defence tried to keep the arms of any available Orc receivers well chewed.

The Orcs tried to clear Maelstrom around the ball area, and Orc recievers tried to break free downfield. Maelstrom again attempted to collect the loose ball but failed to gather it cleanly under pressure. Taribo came up with it but ran straight into the shoulder-charge of warrior Turmoil. Tumult picked up the loose ball on the run but again the ball hit the grass as Ruckus fumbled the handoff. But the ball was not in a good position for the Orcs as the charging beastmen were there in numbers. It was Ruckus who gathered the ball and ran for the line while the Riot kept the Orcs well clear.

There was little time left in the first half as the Porks again lined up for the kick. The Porks were a blitzer down and Awful Din had not yet recovered his senses. The kick went very deep as the Orcs quick snapped. The bounce sent the ball to the crowd and the ball went to Taribo on the touchback. Organic cleared a hole for Blitzer Brian to sprint linewards. Brian was covered but not hit by Maelstrom and Hullaballoo as the beast defence was stretched to the limit. Otario Pork's hit on warrior Turmoil stretched him past breaking point and sent him off to the medical tent. Brian continued his fine run blazing his way into the end zone as Taribo surged forward for the pass. Unfortunately Brian took his eye off the ball at the wrong time and Maelstrom arrived soon after to send him crowdsurfing...leaving it with the Riot 1-0 up at the half.

The Riot recieved the kick as their fans cheered them on. Maelstrom gathered the ball as Pandemonium went left through the defence of Linemen Leonard and Luke. As the Orcish cover defence rushed to close the hole, Clamour called a switch and charged Origami down leaving a space for Maelstrom to race to the right around the midfield brawl being well won by Pandemonium. The move left the Orc defence wrong footed except for Blitzer Big Pork who chased Maelstrom too hard and fell. Taking advantage of the clear run right, Maelstrom ran covered by Clamour and Tumult with Commotion crashing defender Timmy Pork down. The Orcs did not have the speed to close the gap and Maelstrom made it 2-0 at three quarter time.

Again the Orcs lined up left as the Riot fans continued their deafening crescendo. Again Origami opened the hole though the Porks were a tad short of healthy blitzers to make a rapid run through it. Time was on their side yet though and a good area cleared for their ball carrier, thrower Taribo handing off to Big Pork. The Riot defence closed strongly though, with Hijink's hit on Troll Tony Pork taking him out of the Pork offence. The Orcs responded with Orchid Pork smashing warrior Pulped Mess's knee.

Big Pork raced clear of the closing defence though and sprinted again for the line, ball in hand. His rush was ended by the horns of Maelstrom who neatly collected the spilt ball and ran it into a scrum of beastmen as Hijinks broke clear and headed for the end zone. The Orcs responded angrily with Orchid Pork fracturing Hullaballo's leg in a nasty hit, as Taribo Pork closed on the escaping Hijinks.

The beasts struggled to get the ball clear but eventually did get it to Hijinks who failed to reach the line before the final siren and it ended 2-0.

It was a game where things just went right for the Riot, a condition not enjoyed so much by our hard fighting opponents.”
