Last time these 2 teams met the undead gave us a healthy beating.
This time the handed out the pain again but in the snowy conditions and with not a ghoul on the field we mangaged to hold them out.
Deathwish votes:
2 points goes to Lord of Darkness, many attempts to stop this mummy failed as he kept coming back and he hurt us.
1 point goes to Harkaban Nightmare, this wight was annoying as the only ballhandler on the field and hiding from me in a cage, he almost tied the game but was brought down by a rookie norse lino.”
Needed a win or draw to guarentee the title and got so close! Now I have to wait for Snorri to draw or lose to hand me the Cut Throat Trophy...
Toonie managed a 3+ dodge and a 1d block on the last turn to save the game which all told, he probably deserved.
The first half was all Valhalla as they fouled, kicked and scratched to a 1-0 lead. Count Von Drakenborg was fouled out in T3 and many other undead followed. It was especially daunting as I was missing my 2 star ghouls (one MNG'ed, the other niggled) and the weather was a Blizzard.
Staring defeat in the face, I got a touchback on the kick off, set a cage and went to grind in the draw. I got so close!!
Valhalla's KO and BH box were overflowing and tehn Rudi Heltson made his now infamous 1d dodge blitz to save it.... bah!
Well played Toonie, you set the season up for a grandstand finish!
DEATHWISH POINTS
2pts - Rudi Heltson for his last turn heroics.
1pt - Odin Harkonnen who fouled, fouled and then fouled some more and managed to take out the Count”
