“Roo Boxers vs Hans Rechbert

Hans recieved the midfield kick as the Boxer's fans beat up on the ref. The kick went straight down wolf Jesper's throat but he failed to catch it as the necro's blockers went to work on the Boxer's line. Jesper failed again to get the ball and was put under pressure by Fighting Harada, though Rocky failed to escape the tackle of Friedrich and put the ball under more pressure.

Albert took a dim view of Harada's proximity to the ball and launched a frenzied attack leaving Harada knocked out and spilling the ball to a waiting Jepsper who ran it into the space being cleared by the Rechbert blockers as Dieter knocked out the other goblin Sun Kil Moon. The Orcish defensive line reformed and tried to get in the way of the speeding wolves. But there was too few and they were too slow to effectively close the gap as Albert cleared Ali from the path of Jesper, who flattened would-be tackler Joe Frazier and sprinted for the line. Kostya Tzu closed on Jesper but again Rocky was tackled en route to Jesper. The wolf evaded Tzu's tackle for the score.

But the Boxers fans were cheering hard as the kick went up, up and away with a touchback being handed to Kostya Tzu. The Boxer blockers started to clear ground upfield as Tzu began with a run. The Orcish blockers pressured the Rechbert line. The wolves raced to close the gap and it was Jesper who was encouraging Dempsey crowdwards. With the assist of Ali Dempsey tried to clear Jesper out of the path but his block was ineffective and he had little choice but to be dragged down in a risky tackle. Time was running out for the Orcish offence as the Zombie horde closed with Dieter sacking Tzu. The ball was regathered by Harada who threw downfield to Dempsey as he raced away from the scrum with a thin screen of fragile Goblins for company. The rush made it all the way to the line only for the last ditch handoff to Manuel Ortiz to be fumbled and it went to the break with the Boxers 1-0 down.

After the break the Rechbert defence came up perfect, and kicked it to within an inch of Kostya Tzu's foot. Again the Orcs rushed right with Tzu handing off to Harada who ran for the line with Ali, Marciano and Moon for cover. Ali made the tackle on Jesper to keep the ball safe from the raiding wolf and the handoff went to Marciano for the score.

The Boxer's set up a perfect defence this time with the heading into the stands. The touchback was given to the wolf Albert who ran right as his blockers went to work on the Boxers. Foreman was KO'd by Sven and Jesper hurt Harada. Dempsey closed on Albert though and the Boxers defence rode on his tackle..which was neatly evaded by the speeding wolf who blitzed Tzu into the medical tent as he cleared his own path to the line. But Ali made the hit on the runner and the ball went to the crowd who threw it short back into the Orc and Zombie maul.

But Jesper regathered the ball and raced away to make it 2-1 to Hans Rechbert.”
