“The Guts were feeling good coming into this game after putting in a few more wins. The front line was back in full force and the play makers trained hard and well during the week.
The Guts had to kick and it was clear they had no idea how to play a fast team. The Inferno hit the LOS and then scampered all 4 gutter runners down the bottom wide lane and threw the ball into the middle of them. The Guts defence tried to manouver to stop this rush but they were too slow. The Inferno cross for an early TD.
With the Guts to recieve, we put a very strong LOS down and left only 2 in the back field, Deepkick the thrower and Me Ball Now the blitzer. We smashed the LOS and formed a pocket while Me Ball Now gathered the ball. Progress was very slow and it wasnt until a few turns left that we were able to get the ball past the LOS. Nice D from Inferno. During this time Mothug was knocked over and killed, failing to regenerate and was only saved by the teams Apothecary. Eventually Me Ball Now scampered down the side line only to be smashed to the ground and cough up the ball. Inferno then collected the ball tried got is back to halfway before failing a throw due to the sunny day. With only 1 turn left on the clock, Deepkick ran back to hlafway, picked up the contested ball, sprinted and doged out of reach, threw the ball to Me Ball Now who caught it and ran in for a TD even after stumbling close to the line.
End of the Half, 1 - 1.
With the Guts recieving again, we decided to do a more traditional Orc approach. We formed a cage early and slowly advanced down the side line. It was clear Inferno was tempting us to score fast by practically retreating all players from the top wide zone. Not to be rushed, the Orcs just crept downfield keeping the defences up. The drive was not without cost as both MorDor , Black Orc Blocker, and Here We Go, Goblin, Getting killed. Eventually we were able to cross for a 2nd TD for the match.
It was a good game with some crazy rolling on both parts. Inferno caused 3 casualties that were all DEATHS. The Guts were just able to cause a few BH's and a few KO's.
The crowd favourite was Lok'Tar for his LOS work and general defence roll.”
