“The Astral Children continue their impressive streak through the Elf Challenge. The violent tendencies of the fallen Elves showed through as the Witch of the Spider-Kissers injured herself trying to needlesly attack one of the Astral Children acolytes. The thirst for unnecessary blood also showed on the 2nd half when the Spider-Kissers managed to stab the Ref to enjoy another half of their twisted bloody tactics. This however was not succesful as the Astral Children, while being above of such clearly illegal actions as fouling, accidentally stepped on a few of their lost kindred knocking them out of the drive.
Unfortunately one of the Astral Children acolytes, Hilnois Icerain, was injured trying to verbally de-escalate a brawl that was starting near the line of scrimmage. Fortunately he is now in the good care of our elvish healers and he sustained no permanent damage.
Now having shown the light of Hoeth to their lost cousins twice already, they are eagerly awaiting the next possibility to spread the joy of Hoeth to their next opponent, the Darkwood Lightnings. May the dark kindred see the error of their ways and be brought to light one day.”
The Spider-kissers had to play with only ten elves at start, and it soon got worse when the high elves incredible blocking started knocking out one dark elf after the other, and when witch elf Tierak Morcane got herself badly hurt on a double pow/skull things really looked down.
The Astral Children scored soon thereafter, leaving two turns for the Spider-kissers to score, but the high elves perfect defense coupled with a failed dodge set a stop to that attempt.
In the second half the Spider-kissers got the ref and started trying to even out the number of players on the field. After some bashing they were in a good position to score and took the TD, knowing it would mean a skill for Uthegental.
In the final drive the high elves once again showed themselves to be masters at blocking, and soon there were only seven dark elves left on the field with many of them stunned too. Somehow the Spider-kissers managed to get the ball however, and Umaerh really got close to scoring before he failed a dodge and knocked himself out (he was moving too close to the sideline and got crowded against the fans).
The high elves got the ball again, and after a double-skull by Tooman Thendrik doomed the dark elves attempts to get tacklezones on the ball the Astral Children scored the winning TD on the very last turn of the game.
Thanks again for this exciting game L_J!”
