“The score line doesn't truly represent the efforts of the Mafia. The Mafia continued to injure the Undead defence, until it had literally fallen to pieces. The Mafia frontline consisting of the Dwarf longbeard, Khazad Dum, crushed the unworthy Undead causing not one but two deaths. The wight, Gulis, and the ghoul, Tacklarn, were unable to be regenerated. The Mafia frontline were outstanding. The troll slayer, Burlok "Knuckles" Damminson, seemed to be psyched up enough to hold both the Undead mummies in check, even without his former team-mate, Kragnar Flakmane, who also played as a troll slayer until his recent death. The Dwarf runners let down the team and consistently the ball seemed to find gaps down the lines and scored two TDs. The Mafia are still looking for a replacement for Kragnar and after poor winnings on both sides, the Ded Wings seem to be out of money to replace their valuable runners.
"The score? Who cares about that? What I'm interested in as a manager of an elite team of gangsters, I mean players, is casualties. The Godfather wants a squad of guys that will be able to cope with anything. If they can survive a season of Bloodbowl they could take on the entire city. Our guys did their jobs out on the field and if anyone says my tactics aren't up to scratch I'll force feed them petroleum and set them on fire. Do you think my guys tackled professionally?" - Bardurnon "The Don", Dwarven Mafia Coach.
"Oh yes...your team played fairly and totally within the rules." - Bloodbowl reporter.
"Good. I like you." - Bardurnon "The Don", Dwarven Mafia Coach. ”
