“Fumbbl Cup IV SA Qualifiers

The first KO game in this qualifier for both the groups highest Str team and the lowest Str team (at the beginning of the tourney). Of course our Dark Elves were the team to bet the money on, but the underdogs Bugwups are known for their muscle power and were given 5 rolls on the handicap table.
And they gave some good results:
A virus struck and so Blitzer Xune couldn´t show up. The experienced Thrower Greylar stated it wasn´t her, but guess what? No one believed her. I have no clue what witch Xuldra Poison has been doing before the match, but most heard sentence from her was: Duh, where am I????
So, the Underdark Nightmares started out with 12 players to field. Still very confident to win this game and by doing it, hurt some of those little stinky Goblins. We recieved first (palmed coin, Meech let us start), and advanced. We didn´t much bother with blocking the big Ogres, but sent our Tacklers straight to the Goblins. But they must have been protected by some dark and foul magic, since even our MB players could never brake their armor.
It was turn 2 or 3 when one of the Goblins stamped his boots into our beloved witch Yasraene Painbringer (38 SPPs, Block, Strip Ball, Side Step) and killed her. When the apo arrived he turned away in disgust and fled from the game (damn, failed the apo roll). So we lost a witch elf without having the funds to hire another and were reduced to 11 players. Fortunately no other casualties were received.
The game can be described pretty easily: Basically dodging away from the Ogres, sometimes a block against them, Blitzing the Gobbos and trying to get as many SPPs as possible. The 2 TDs for the Bugwups were achieved through nice TTM actions. So there was no chance to prevent them.
In the second half we got the ref and fouled a few times, resulting in a single BH. The other 3 were caused through Blocks. At the very end our fans threw a rock and killed the ST3 Goblin Why Bother.

The game resulted in the victory of the Dark Elves, as it was predicted. The 2 RIPs are sad. The Underdark Nightmares will have to continue with only one witch.
