Hehehe... Not excactly that what I would write, but as my team loosed, this would end in some Luck/NoLuck-discussions. Who wanna know that? Not me, not my opponent, no one would.
But my compliments for my opponent, well played and used any possibilities to get a little more advantage. but in my oppinion he could do at least one more TD, because my guys were outnumbered in turn 6 first half. from this time on, they hadn't a single chance... And for sure, he stalled himself a TD away...
All good wishes for those hobby gobos in the future. one team that deserve a pleasant nuffle.

A successful and violent game for the Hobgobs marred by strange warps of the Chaos winds. Our fortunes began when shortly before the opening kickoff, the ref gave us the signal that our payment had been received! Let the fouling commence! Unfortunately the Hobgobs only somewhat refuted the notion that Hobgobs, despite their sneaky nature, can't foul worth spit. For the second game in a row 5 Hobgobs teaming up on a down player managed to put him out of our misery. Aside from that one event, the Elves proved better able to absorb the low blows than they could blocks.

Even though the ref had agreed to overlook our indiscretions, he refused to palm the coin, and the lightning fast elves won the toss, and in a blink they were up 1-0. Once we had the ball and the elves had to come to us, things starting falling the Hobgobs way. First hit of our drive resulted in a smashed hand for one of the opposing linemen. We worked our way down the pitch pushing, punching, and kicking until Eggly was safely beyond the reach of the other team. We then spent a few moments punishing the Elves for all their past misdeeds. The opposing coach was not too pleased at our little siesta, but the Hobgobs knew that giving those speedy buggers another chance at a TD was not a wise move. By the second half, the other team was quite shorthanded, and it began to show. Perhaps the effort of playing outnumbered began to tell on them, as they seemed a bit uncoordinated, failing several dodges. In the end, we were able to capitalize on some mistakes and beat the elves to a kickoff in the endzone sealing the win.

Kudo's to my opponent for taking the injuries quite well. I'm sure the Elves will be back sooner or later to give the Hobgobs another try.
