#5 Winston Smugbottom – Dead (RIP)
#9 Reginald Ascendant – Smashed Knee (NI)
At the end of the last match, pundits were wondering if it could get any worse for Radiant Arrogance. Most of the so-called "fans" packing out the seats in this match against Wozza's Whirlwinds were more interested in seeing how badly the Elves would be mashed this time.

A tired-looking Cyril Ponceworthy surveyed the pitch gloomily, his teammates' shoulders slumped, all the pomp and bluster gone out of Arrogance's campaign. He had run out of excuses, and the creditors in Ulthuan were writing increasingly threatening letters.

All the worse then, to be facing one of the most packed rosters in the league, a long list of Orc beatdown. An already battered Radiant team received further poundings over the course of the match, dropping down to five players on the pitch at one point. When only eight lined up to receive in the second half, the coach shook his head in defeat.

Sir Robert Munificent, cousin of the ill-fated Sir Roderick, was left wondering why he had bothered to sign on in the first place. It seems clear by now that the Offord Invitational will be this team's first and last tournament.

Wozza was looking forward to this match, his lads had fought well against a tough opponent in the heavy set Lizardmen but they needed a little more than a draw if they were going to place respectably in this league.

Radiant Arrogance were his team's drawn opponents and the greenskins of Wozza's Whirlwinds were itching for a fight, no matter how ill-matched.

The action started early as a quick break led Sir Robert Munificent to an early score. Wozza's lads looked dumbfounded and for a moment, there seemed a chance that the High Elves would prevail in spite of their recent run of bad luck.

However, the game was brought back to reality with a sickening crunch as Thrakka notched up another casualty, throwing down a heavy, highly-telegraphed, haymaker into the face of Ranulph Hubris. The High Elf went down convincingly and was taken off the field for further examination. (Ended up as BH)

After a second attempt by the Radiants to convert hard won momentum into a touchdown was cruelly quashed by a clumsy dodge, Pordok a relatively inexperienced Lineman forgot his post and sped in to collect the ball from under the nose of Lobba, a trained thrower.

Pordok compounded the insult to Lobba's skillset by completing a throw to Squabble, the much despised Goblin, who ran such a substantial distance that by the time the High Elves had broken free of their beefy opponents, they were too far behind to stop him.

Buoyed up by the antics of the little, stunty git, Thrakka charged head-long into Winston Smugbotttom. The crack of the High Elf Lineman's spine was audible and met with great cheers by bloodthirsty fans. (KILLED without an Apothecary - sorry Z :( )

The second half saw the Whirlwinds pressing their now substantial numerical advantage and engaging in unsavory acts of unadulterated thuggery.

Brolgox threw Reginald Ascendant to the floor and planted a swift kick to his knee which shattered instantly.

Squabble was again let loose and neared the endzone for a second touchdown. However his run was brought short by a savage diving kick from one High Elf who, upon gathering up the ball, found himself surrounded by angered Orcs. Squabble fared well given the wild abandon with which the Elf had thrown himself and the much hated gobbo soon recovered.

The loose ball was picked up by Lobba, who was sufficiently angered by Pordok's earlier display, to selfishly run a very slow touchdown, stopping to dance in a mocking manner on the end line before crossing over.

Each of the Thrower's steps was punctuated by sounds of gross misconduct as the Whirlwinds held various elves down for firm and repeated pummeling.

When the whistle blew the scoreline, though conservative, was clearly evident in the game's aftermath. Dead and injured High elves were carried or limped from the field as Wozza's Whirlwinds celebrated another perfect bill of health and 3 much needed points to keep them in contention for a league podium finish.
