“The ladies forgot how to block for much of the first half of play, resulting in a ton of pushes and block/skulls. This allowed my rats to swarm into position to tackle their catcher, the ball bouncing onto my SV, who was shielded from tackle, believe it or not, by the amazon line itself! (The abundance of skaven guard linerats helped a lot, too...) Some dodging later, and my SV takes the ball home, reviving both team tackles (who'd been ko'd or crowdpushed) and pointing the finger at Zara, who was summarily ejected from the game!!! The ladies then failed the pass for a potential touchdown (two gfi's needed), ending the first half 1-0, rats.

Second half starts, and the ladies roll a perfect defense...but a bad kick touchback makes it a relatively easy score for the rats anyway...after the ladies steal the ball but fail the handoff to their catcher, who woulda scored an amazon score instead. For once, Nuffle was on OUR side it seemed...especially when we rolled a blitz! after going up 2-0. Took a failed pickup by their surehanded thrower, but our SV scored his second time, raising the stakes to 3-0, rats.

By now the ladies were desperate to get on the scoreboard, and pissed off at the blocking thus far, as their final drive they ko'd 5, badly hurt one and tried to RIP our own DP using their DP...via block, not foul. Go fig. But the doc was up to the task, and no further injuries were reported, so we'll give them the score with grace.

Wakizashi X, who was brought in to replace the claw/rsc Wakizashi IX, has now grown his own set of claw/rsc. This was, I think, the final missing link needed in our next FC run this weekend...”
