“Another surprisingly successful game for the Hobgobs. Our opponent suffered from a distinct lack of luck in this game, and it quickly showed. After the Hobgobs kicked off the opponent quickly drove into our side of the pitch, not without paying a price, as their powerful Chaos Warrior felt the pointy end of a Hobgob boot and was knocked cold. With a beastman poised in the shadow of our goal line, the Hobgobs swarmed to the ball, and managed to convince the prone player to hand it over. After sprinting to midfield and handing the ball over to Bilgy Barnsplatter, who headed deep into the empty opposing pitch, the Hobgobs waited anxiously to see if Bilgy could weather the oncoming storm. Surprisingly, the opposing coach chose to forego blitzing the ball carrier with his skaven, instead opting to unleash his ogre on Moldo Onionmangler. The decision seemed a correct one as Moldo collapsed under the huge beasts crushing blow. For a moment Moldo's heart ceased to beat, the battered brain having forgot to tell it to do so. But as the apothecary rushed onto the field, he was able to revive the beaten warrior. With only a small skaven between himself and Glory, Bilgy quickly clubbed the little rodent into submission and headed to glory mere moments before the half.

Receiving the kickoff at the start of the second half would seem to favor the Hobgobs, but an ill fated mid field pass from Dorkney Buginbottom left the ball in the midst of the scrum. As the gutter runner ran for the endzone expecting a pass, Lord Despoiler looked for some revenge for the KO blow he'd received earlier. As the ball sat at the feet of no less than two Hobgobs, the Norseman blitzer rushed in, scooped up the ball, and heaved a miracle pass to the waiting skaven. Shocking everyone, including the opposing coach, who thought he had instructed his Orc passer to get the ball!

Immediately after the next kickoff, things began to look up for the Hobgobs. At the line of scrimmage, Gulky Hornspittle continued his career of surprising blocks, by knocking out the opposing teams Ogre! As the Hobgobs burst through the middle, attrition began to tell on the second team and soon enough it was Hobgob vs Skaven once more. Quickly knocking the small but swift rodent down, Bungle Doorstopper burst into the endzone.

With time running down, misfortune dropped a ton of bricks on the opposing team. Before they could even pick up the ball, three more players were knocked unconscious, and their Norseman suffered a gruesome broken leg that's not likely ever to fully heal. With teammates and time quickly running out, the Orc passer threw up desperation pass. Bilgy thanked him kindly by snatching the ball cleanly out of mid-air. With a teammate nearby to knock the surprised Orc onto his backside, Bilgy marched in for an easy second TD.

Thanks to my opponent for an enjoyable game that was much closer than the final score indicates. His team was well built and well played, but the lack of rerolls was just too much to overcome. I'm sure that motley Chaos band will be back soon enough for revenge... Will the Hobgobs be ready, and as fortunate next time?
