“Under a perfect Bloodbowl sky, the dwarves of the Copper Monkeys, and the chaos 8 Pointed Stars battled to a 1-1 tie, that both teams left the field satisfied with. Niether team was flashy or glitzy today, but instead pounded the pitch like the teams of ole.
The Monkeys started the game with the ball and were able to slowly battle their way through the throng of the chaos horde. Defender after defender were waylaid by the punishing combos dealt by the troll slayer tandem of Seismic and Tectonic. This duo constantly sent the Star's players into the stands to be stunned of knocked out by the disgruntled and intoxicated fans who couldn't distinguish between friend or foe.
Midway through the first half, Magma, the Monkeys' runner, snatched up the ball and scampered into the endzone for the go ahead point. The Stars looked to regroup, but with so little time before the half ended, they were only able to move the ball a few yards before taking a short rest.
The second half opened up under a blistering sky. The sun decided to make things difficult for the two teams, but as neither team scored until the waning seconds of the second half, players were not able to get that needed breather, unless sent into the stands once again by the ground pounding duo, Seismic and Tectonic.
After a few turnovers by both teams in Monkey territory, the Monkeys team floundered while trying to gain valuable extra paces and in the confusion, Stars marauder, Portal Holder, snatched up the ball. One of his beastmen teammates finally was able to stun Tectonic who was trying to take Holder out and Holder ran his heart out to get into the endzone, tieing up the game.
After the ensuing kickoff, the Monkeys tried to move the ball, but an errant pass from Magma was the last thing before the final whistle. I think both teams were satisfied with the ending to the game. There were no casualties, soall players will live to play another day. For the Stars, this marked and end to their 1 game losing streak after winning their first two games. They were happy to get back on the non-losing side once again. To sum it up, from the mouth of Stars Ogre, Barn Door, "Why du I haffu keep chasen muh lunch?"”
