“Twenty thousand screaming horseshoe fans and fifteen thousand chittering warpers showed up on a beautiful October day to watch two of the worst teams face off! The game took place at the Purple Horseshoes stadium with an extra 100 guards taken from the city watch, to prepare for the Warpers infestation coming to town. Luckily few incidents were reported, outside a rock chucked from the Skaven crowd early in the game, stunning a horseshoe player.

The Drama: The purple horseshoes still searching for that elusive first victory in which to build their team on. The Warpers were coming off their first victory of the season and had swarms of confidence and rat-hope on their side! The Horseshoes were 0-1-4 and the Warpers were 1-0-4. On paper, this looked like it would be an even match!

The Game:
The confidence proved to be too much for the "unlucky" horseshoes team as they fumbled, stumbled, miss tackled, and generally looked lost on the field. They only received a normal kickoff from the skavens at the end of the game, when victory seemed to be out of reach. These kicks had put the Horseshoes out of position for most of the game. The Horseshoes made some daring attempts and at times their offense looked as if it would score after a brilliant play, only to have it come to a sputtering thud of a stop due to some unlucky circumstance. As one bright Horseshoe moment, they did knock the Warpers RatOgre "FleshGnash" out for most of the game!

The Warpers were all over the pitch and at times, seemed to be unstoppable. A perfect example was when Mizk Morbus stole the ball from the Horseshoe offense after the kickoff and was quickly surrounded by six Horseshoe players with only one narrow escape possible. MIzk ducked and scampered out of the Horseshoe cage through several tackle zones and into the endzone for a Warper TD. The Horseshoe coach dubbed Mizk the "Invisible Rat" at the post game conference and alluded to the possiblility of the rat actually using some dark magic to actually pull off the impossible stunt! We wouldn't put it past the Skaven either!

Most of the warpers offense rode on the shoulders of the Warpers Blitzers, "Kult Painz" and "Kandle Grim" this game and not the Gutter Runners, as the Horseshoes did a fantastic job of shutting the Scampering passing attack down. The only gutter runner to score a TD, was the "Invisible Rat" Mizk Morbus.

Final:
In the end, the Warpers "warped" to an easy 4-0 victory and for the first time this season, looked to be building a competitive team. The horseshoes, look to be a strong team, only if they can get the elusive lady luck to take favor to them. It is only a matter of time, before the talented Horseshoe's coach turns the "Unlucky" Horseshoes into the "Purple Horseshoes" and into a true competitor!
