“Don't listen to the luck meter...a disconnect at turn 7 second half skewed the numbers...up until that point the elves were a good solid 75% all game long, causing cas/ko left and right, never failing a dodge or ball control issue...just in general rocking the boat. Meanwhile game-long rain (despite a "change in weather" which turned up, again, rain) caused havoc in the rats' attempts to move the ball downfield.

Scary moment of the game was in turn 3 of the first half, when a blitz from his (well, one of his...other one niggled out) str5 mb lino almost killed our super-star claw/rsc rat...amazingly, the apo worked for a change! But this caused our star rat to play conservatively, which allowed more elves to walk away from blocks he would've caused a cas on, until eventually the MB wardancer (damn, this team has more MB than some dwarven/orc teams I've faced!) knocks Wakizashi out of the game, badly hurt but safe to play another game. That was the turning point of the game, as it was really close til then, but as soon as our linerat dropped a touchdown pass and the elves made every single 3+/4+ dodge to block me off, knocking out one tackle rat after another, there was absolutely nothing I could do.

Sigh...at least the lost rat was only a 6spp gutter, and I got cash enough to replace him. So next game while our thrower (who got hurt in the first blitz of the game) is recuperating, maybe I can get our new gutter and rookie linerats their first skill...and not lose somebody yet again...hey, we can dream, can't we?
