I'm afraid to say that incompetent performances marred (especially by the stars) what could have been a well delivered production.
Again Ong Bak is blurring between hero and villain, stumbling his lines far too often for a professional production.
The Serpent and the Rainbow, although a coach favourite has been a big let down since bursting onto the screen with such ferver. However the entire front line casts' performance was less than average and quite dreary in places. Resulting in numerous misreadings.
On a brighter note, the newly acquired Urotsukidoji came to impress with not the greatest of acting styles but convincing nevertheless. He left the stage with 2 victims and I think we'll leave it at that. This is a family show and so you'll have to get the director's cut for the full details.
The other newly acquired addition, Blade sat this one out and will probably be used in the matinees. However to the main character again, Zoolander was brilliant, he kept his head throughout the entire match, even when he was under pressure of the spotlight he came through. Magnum charmed the audience and bedazzled the opposition to tie the producition at the final curtain.
Again we are left with the mouth-watering prospect of a sequel, as the plot is left wide open.
Mediocrity stikes back.
