“Another rough game for the Daemons against an opponent that only wished to see these talented elves dismembered messily. The Daemon's lone surviving Witch Elf was far too drunk on Witchbrew to play in the game, and it took all the apothecaries' talents to get her on the pitch. Ironically, she proved to be pivotal in the Daemon's victory, scoring the first touchdown and opening up the ball for the second....only to be crushed by Black Orc Weezing in the dying minutes of the match. Truly, she played a game worthy of her career, and her number shall henceforth be retired (until a suitably busty replacement can be found).
Cheers to Wraith, who encountered some bad luck with key rolls. He could certainly put me down, but mostly failed to injure and persistantly fumbled the ball at the most inopportune times. He failed a hail-mary play to score on the final turn of the 1st half that would have sent the game into overtime, and most likely Orkemon to the winner's circle as well. Hope he has better luck in the future.”
“A well fought match. Game started out really bad for Draknal Daemons, with a failed quick pass after a couple moves, allowing Orkemon to go on the offensive. Yet another match where Meowth gets ejected after the first foul attempt ( 12 games total ), only KO'ing the dark elf star blitzer. Darknal Daemons hung tough with almost no injuries in the first half and believe me the orcs were trying to gain the numbers advantage by bashing the darkies around.
A quick TD pass put the Daemons up for good halfway thru the first half. Orkemon attempted to tie the game up right before the half but failed a GFI entering the endzone, after a beautiful play. Orkemon's star thrower was KO'd towards the end of the first half and never returned.
The second half started with the Daemons kicking to the orcs, but the Daemons made a few good plays and ended up with the ball ( a leap here, a 1db POW there and a bunch of dodges had the Daemons sitting pretty ), going up 2-0 in turn 4. Orkemon attempts to move the ball upfield for a quick TD, but a couple botched throws ( yay for the magic 1's ) and a scampering dark elf team had the orcs very beaten.....Orkemon managed to toss a meaningless TD in turn 8. This game wasn't as close as the score would dictate.
Overall not bad luck, just had horrible luck whenever it involved the ball and Robofreem had a spot of bad luck in the first couple turns, then had awesome luck the rest of the match. I tried to play a smart game, but unfortunately, horrible AV rolls ( a team full of MB vs AV8 and AV7 and it wasnt til the second half I got a CAS ), horrible luck on key rolls and some bad blocking dice lead to a one-sided victory. Gratz Robofreem, you played awesome and deserve the win, my only consolelation is gutting your witch elf ( Weezing got mad and blitz'd her into oblivion ).
Good luck in the rest of the tourny.
