“It started out as a good, competitive match on both sides through the first 5 turns, but one really good turn for me, knocking down 7 orcs, turned the tide of the whole game.
The score could easily have been 3-0, as we missed a golden opportunity to steal a score at the end of the first half. Anders let the ball squirt out of his hands as the gun sounded (along with the scream of an unfortunate fan).
After a quick 2-turn score in the second half, the lady Orcs were driving and looked like they would even the game up at 1-1, where it would likely have ended. However, a timely interception by game MVP Jasper Stone turned the tide again. The rookie catcher scampered down the field to put the score at 2-0. A few heavy blocks later, the game ended.
Coach Caput was impressed with the team's first game, but was heard by several players and media calling lineman Livan Ortegas a 'wimp' and 'pansy'. Ortegas has declined comment because he cannot speak. A broken jaw will keep him out of the next Blazers game.”
