“The Luck Meter Never Lies! It's pretty hard to lose when Nuffle doesn't want it to happen...
This was a pretty interesting game. Golden Games were a much stronger side than the Knives, but Nuffle meddled with the dice rolls (I think I owe him another goat for this game). Until late in the first half, the Knives were slightly outnumbered, and greatly out-classed. This gradually changed as Tethys put his knuckledusters to good use taking two players off the field in the last two turns. They barely managed to pull off a touchdown, needing several 2+ rolls, and a 3+ roll in order to make the distance (all without re-rolls), but they pulled through, and although they were still down 2-1 on the scoreboard, they were receiving, and also outnumbered their opponents.
The good luck continued right through to the end, where it could have gone either way. Bald-boy made a couple of small mistakes, just enough for me to get a decent hit on the ball carrier, and we were fortunate enough to be able to get the ball out of range for a final TD in turn 8.
Real close game, and a *very* good one for the Knives - puts them safely away from being relegated, as well as a whopping 110k in winnings (goes straight to hiring a 3rd blitzer). Next round, hopefully, the teams will be a little more even, and so will the luck, and we'll be able to make another good game of it.”
