“Well, after 10 games my Norse had somehow only lost _three_ players to death and injury, so a game like this was due - it could have been much worse, really. As soon as the dwarves received we knew we might be in trouble: Guard, Mighty Blow and AV 9 gave the dwarves an obvious advantage, and the Ale found it difficult to change their game.

At least the team had built up enough reserves that it was able to get 11 men onto the pitch for the start of the second half, and for a moment it looked as though we might manage to outflank the dwarves while they were distracted by crowdpushing and beating up our diversionary players. Stunning sprinting skills from the dwarves closed that door, however, and the rout was then completed when the dwarves humiliated us further by outsprinting the Ale players in a race for the ball (which had been thrown near our end zone by the crowd).”
