But, alas! Even with hardly anyone on the pitch, the Boilers managed to sneek into the endzone with some desparate throws. Almost elf-like...

Started out great for the Boilers. Scored in turn 2 and BH one of the Ladies. Then get a blitz on the ensueing kickoff. The ball even ends up surrounded by 3 of my guys!
Then, the luck changes..drastically. The Ladies began to knock down 5 or 6 players in a row on 1die blocks (with no re-roll used)...BH one and KO'ing another. (IIRC). Soon, they had scored their 1st TD and My injury box was begining to fill..
2nd half continued the 1st half dominace by the ladies. Before they scored the 2nd TD, there were only 4 Boilers left on the field!!!
Then, luck changed again. I was able to complete the long bomb on my turn 6 of the 2nd half to tie the game! Leaving only 2 turns for the ladies to score and get their much deserved win.
I think if they had run the catchers down the open sidelines, instead of attacking the middle that I had loaded up on, they would have had a much better chance of scoring. As it was, their passer fell on the ball anyway and stunned himself..and I proceeded to knock down the only 2 Ladies in scoring range, securing the miraculous tie.
Eddy got +1 str after the game, so all is not lost!
