First game for the Amazons and they were lucky to get a first turn casualty to have an early 11-10 player advantage.

Bresson stole the ball temporarily when the Amazons were a bit careless but the Bresson short pass was missed and the ball lay in the open near their end zone and the Amazons recovered to score.

On the Bresson drive, they started impressively, with 4 knockdowns from 4 blocks (all two dicers). They threw a short pass to a player within scoring distance (requiring 2 GFI) but he failed his first 2+ dodge and the ball spilt free!

With a player knocked out on both teams, both teams fought for the ball with the Amazons unlucky to fail a 3+ pickup, then the Bresson being more unlucy failing a 2+ dodge to get to the ball which was still in one Amazon tackle zone.

Luck was with the Amazons though as they injured another Bresson player then their Thrower picked up the ball in one tackle zone (needing 4+ with sure hands), made a dodge (3+), thew a short pass (4+ with Pass skill) to catcher Mia Kirshner (3+ with Catch). Kirshner ran in a TD for a 2-0 lead after stalling 1 turn to run the game clock down leaving Bresson with just 1 turn in the first half to try and score a TD.

It was 9 Bresson players vs 10 Amazons at the start of the second half. Bresson pushed to the left then back to the right, then back to the left again. They were very unlucky to fail a 3+ short pass that was rerolled into a fumble. However, they recovered the ball and scored anyway thanks to some Amazon greed where they did two dice blocks elsewhere without the Block skill before using a Blitzer to blitz the Bresson player next to the ball and securing it first!

With both KO players failing to wake up, it was 10 Amazons vs 8 Bressons on the next drive. The Bressons Dragon Warrior failed a 2+ dodge trying to get a 1 dice blitz on the Amazon Thrower and then had one of their players knocked out.

What followed was an absolute farce of failed 2+ and 3+ rolls by both teams...

Firstly, Bresson had a second chance at the ball after the Amazons fumbled a TD (3+ with reroll) pass. Bresson picked up the ball (3+) but then failed the dodge (2+) to set up a long bomb or long pass attempt.

The Amazons knocked out another Bresson player then failed a 3+ Sure Hands attempt to pick up the ball.

Bresson then failed a 3+ dodge to pick up the ball (also needing 3+).

The Amazons recovered the ball, then missed another TD pass (3+ with reroll).

Bresson then failed a 2+ GFI whilst trying to get to the ball (another 2+ GFI was required, then a 4+ pick up and then possibly a Long Bomb in two tackle zones needing a 6 just not to fumble due to -4 negs).

Eventually, the Amazons picked up the ball and got their pass and scored the final TD of the match to win 3-1.

A very luck affected game. Both of us had some crazy bad luck at times failing 3+s and 2+s. I certainly had some good luck with the early injuries and KOs giving me a player advantage throughout the match and that helped incredibly.
