“The season Opener for the Comics went as well as could be hoped for.
Early on the team was a little itimidated by the Champs, so much so that Wannabee decieded that his knee hurt too much to play. After some quick work by the team doctor and chemist he was ready to play. And play he did. 1 TD, 1 cas and 36 rushing. Coach Lo was heard saying
" I don't know what they gave that guy, but whatever it was I think we will do it again", "thank god comics will injest just about anything if they think it will make the have and edge". Blocks and fouls where hard and often it looked for awhile that the regen skill was going to hold up. but a flurry of guys going to the box overwelmed the training staff and a few where missed. This was a game the Comics felt they had to have in order to be a real threat this season. We the staff felt we had a great deal of momentum from last season where we ripped up the Saqqara Kings in our last match.
Three guys earned new skills and 80k was dropped in the bank for the game. Our fan base also grew again. All due to the fact we faced probally the most famous and popular team in CTL history.
There will be open tryouts for a new spot on the team roster comming later this week.
