“The Splendour had heard many rumors about the danger of playing Norse teams and had avoided them with careful excuses explaining everything from bad weather to their uniforms not clean enough. Kane Firebreeze the team leader had enough of their excuses and announced that their next game will be against a Norse team and they will travel to the frozen tundra where these so-called fanatics play.
The result was a disaster for the elves not familiar with the Norse brand of bloodbowl. The norse and their expert coaching quickly dispatched the best elves on the field leaving only a few to try to move the pigskin down the field. It didnt happen. Some quick flashes of splendour brilliance, where a pass looked to be a sure thing, was intercepted by O'Hanrahan who lept into the bitter frost air and grabbed the ball from the outstretched arms of Shael Ithkolia.
Later another pass attempt to Shael resulted in a dropped pass as the agile elf could not move well enough in the tight mob of drunken and angry norse. Shael dropped the hard and cold pigskin to the frozen tundra and watched the norse swarm him and the ball, converting it into another Norse TD.
These situations about sum up the offense of the normally prolific passing attack of the splendour, and the Norse played in a frenzy of bloodlust that would have to be seen, to be believed. The elves on the way back to their calm highland home, realized, that the Norse are a true bloodbowl team to reckon with and for them to take themselves seriously, will have to rematch them again.”
“ The Splendour came north to meet the Devil's Brigade in perfect BloodBowl weather. The Devil's won the toss, and Dempsey completed a pass to James, who had the ball knocked loose for a turnover.
O'Hanarahan managed an interception, who in turn was badly hurt by the High Elf Lineman Vethero Silvery Spear. To repay the favour, Barr badly hurt Huililial Brightwar (lineman.) McCully recovered the loose ball. Clavenaugh blocked Cornil of Loreal, resulting in broken ribs. James managed redeem himself from his earlier turnover by putting a bad hurt on Yul Moonhunter. With the path cleared, McCully walked in for a TD. O'Sullivan badly hurt Shith CatsEye, Barr recovered a loose ball and marched it in for another TD. In the final moments of the game, with several elves ko'd, Barr managed to cause a fumble which James was able to pick up and walk in for a final TD. Coach fishgeekted congratulated ChangoLoco for the victory in a display of sportsmanship that this reporter feels is underrepresented in BloodBowl. A great game for the Devil's Brigade.”
