“IN the early stages of the match, Berlin got horrible luck. This got worse (0% start of turn 4) when Ulthrax Thundara nailed Berlins' Minotaur with a killer shot to the head, sending him screaming into the abyss. After that, several more injuries (including one beastman who spent the game on a KO stretcher from almost the start) meant Berlin were playing with less players. Their luck picked up though, some justice for the injuries, and they looked likely to score after several near miraculous dodges.

KI came back though, blocked the ball carrier, and made off up the field. A truce of sorts took place then, with no blocking for two turns - I suspect coach Negromanus was frustrated by the poor luck he'd suffered, so I honoured the truce with not even a single block, and ran into score, rather than stall.

Negromanus is a good sport - he had the ref for around 9 turns, but didn't foul once, only pushing a couple of players for a crowdsurf to free up the ball carrier. I made a number of mistakes, one being to forget that Beastmen make good blitzers, and left my ball carrier vulnerable.

In the end though, the extra numbers paid off, and great winnings for both sides, but nothing in the way of player improvement, so a mixed bag.

Thanks for the game Negromanus, you were a good sport and didn't deserve the early death on the Mino - had that not happened, may well have been a much different result.
