“The Blue Mountain Gliders were fortunate to get away this easily today, no casualties were suffered by either side and this undoubtedly helped the elves.
The match was delayed for three turns due to riots prior to the firts kick-off, and when it finally started the elves graciously offered the Torconto Masher Leafs the first drive. The orcs quickly formed a cage around the ballcarrier and started a slow walk towards the goalline.
With just three turns remaining of the half Tyldak finally managed to get a one die block against the orc holding the ball, knocked him down and got hold of the ball (after lots of bounces).The decisive moment in the match came soon thereafter when the black orc blocker who tried to get the ball back got overconfident and believed he had the block skill, leading to a turnover and a easy TD for Tyldak...
In the second half the elves managed a quick TD in a typically elven fashion, putting some real pressure on the Masher Leafs. The orcs then tried to repeat the elven performance and Freud actually managed to dodge his way through the elven defence all the way to the goalline, but sadly he didn't catch the ball for a TD.
Needless to say the elves were quickest to get hold of the bouncing ball and quickly scored again, leaving just enough time for a final attempt by the orcs to score.
This time the orcs were hampered by the elven fans who were just a bit too quick to start their celebrations, in the middle of the playing field no less, and with quite a few orcs hurt and stunned by this pitch invasion an orcish TD clearly wasn't meant to be...
