“I would love to say that skillful play, superb tactics and unmatched ability won this game for me, but the simple fact is that for the first half, my dice really were loaded, seemingly. I ended the half having used one Reroll, and having pounded my opponent into the floor with a series of seemingly unfailing blocks. The score was 2-0 up by then, the Denazons numbers were down, and it looked grim for them.
In the second half, their luck picked up, though they didn't score anything better than a stun all game, good news as the apothecary spent the game in the bar!
I personally find that amazing, and whilst my own luck fell away later on (say, from turn 3-4 half 2) I can't complain at all - everything Alan tried to do pretty much screwed up - GFI, pass, catch, etc.
I am genuinely glad there were no lasting injuries to his team, as he's a good sport and the league needs competitive teams, rather than mashed up whipping boys who can't recover enough to play a competitive game.
Where is the fun in those games? There isn't any.
Where is the fun in crowdsurfing your opponent when he's already being pummelled? I don't see any there either. So there were no crowdsurfs, no fouls, no whining despite the dice, and genuine good spirit in a decent conversation afterwards, about tactics, possible moves and future games.
THAT is what I believe Bloodbowl should be about.
Right, off me soapbox, thx for the game mate, and I hope you get better luck for the rest of the season.
mustn't grumble though it's what leagues are all about, playing guys like meetgrinder gives you confidence in the human condition and good sportmanship, granted yes i was still trying to score any SPP i could through injury knowing that taking even one man off his team for the game could give me the break i needed, it din't happen, kesarasarar.
P>S> i want ZUG drug tested lol”
