“This game was rough on me. Aissa got stunned by a rock on Turn 1 1st half. He scores. Turn 7 1st half, some idiot fan has the audacity to KILL Dr. Moreau with a rock. I had to apoth him, no doubt. Sayer of the law was so incensed that he actually fouled someone. Apparently, fouling isn't against the law. He was on two feet, not snuffling, and nobody died. See? No laws broken.
1st off... let's just say that I need to get Boarman the block skill ASAP
2nd... I could have tied him with a TD in the 1st half. The worst thing about botched rolls is when they are the last roll between you and a TD. CW blitzes a blitzer (see: irony) who was minding the ball for me 1 square from his EZ. Skull/Pow x 2. RR. Skull/Pow + Skull. Nice.
3rd... I really had to eke out my TD. I had two turns to make it in before I got "Turn Back Time" as my kickoff. Believe, I needed those extra turns. Funny thing is, I was kidding about that right b4 we rolled it.
4th... Boarman let me down again with some Skull/Pow (inumerable times) to prematurely end my turn. At least Lo-Mai had the ball and was mostly protected.
5th... He wasn't as protected as I thought. My half box was opened up and humans came pouring through. After a real lucky turn of "kick the can", I got Lo-Mai out of there and managed to guard him all the way into the EZ.
Part of House's 70% luck rating involved throwing straight up blocks against my numerous CW and BM without block. His guard came in very useful.
To end the match... -1 FF, 30k, and the MVP goes to the now very very dead Kiril. : (”
“I can't say much that hark hasn't already. It's completely true that I was ridiculously lucky in one die rolls and even two die-opp. choice rolls (having block when your opponent doesn't tends to lead to insane choices at times).
All in all, I consider myself incredibly lucky to get out with a win, but glad to have pulled one out. I'm never glad to deliver a deathblow, though, and it bums me out a bit that said dead guy got the MVP. Ah, well. C'est la vie.”
