“This game was awful. Elves that can't dodge or pick the ball up aren't much use at anything else. The luk swung one way then the next, and with no RR left I had to resort to a desperate attempt to score. The luck intervened for me, then I screwed up with a 1db when there were other 2db options all about. The Elf side scooped the ball up, made off with it, but I managed to catch them and take it back, relying on a 3+ dodge roll to get the ball out of a hole and eventually score.

I'm not sure I had almost 10% more luck than my opponent - both teams sucked royally, and the death was on a skull block, so I had nothing to do with that either. No fouling, only one crowdpush (from me - i had to free up a blitzing player and then hope for a pow on 2db - which in this game was a longshot). Best thing to come out of it for me was no injuries, and Dodge for the Blitzer, not that I think it will work or anything :S

A crap start - not a disastrous one, but not an enjoyable game by any stretch of the imagination.

RoD maybe didn't deserve the draw result he'll feel - he'd done enough for the win possibly, but sometimes when nothing else is working you just gotta hit and hope - which i did, and that means leaving the ball carrier vulnerable in the hope your opponent doesn't get things all their own way.

That was the best piece of luck I had all game.”
