“I was looking for a match against a Category B team for the E.L.F. league and was fortunate enough to come across an Ogre team that mirrored my TR/TS. Now the word "Ogre" brings thoughts of a tear-your-D&D-party-limb-from-limb type encounter to mind, but Bok's Brute Squad was more of the likeable Shrek kind of Ogres.
My critical error in this game occured when I overlooked a Goblin's tackle zone which caused me to perform a -3 dodge and knock out my AG5 ball stripper. He could have easily leapt into the spot to blitz and probably had a reroll left to burn. It would have been a 3-die opponents choice, but his ogre lacked block skill so any result that didn't include a skull and my slim chance to stop an Ogre drive would have still had life.
RubenG was a gracious opponent and actually allowed me to have a crack at scoring at the end when he easily could have caged and stalled out a sure win. If I kept a "seek out and play" list, Mr. G. would be at the top of it.”
