“This was an amazing game. As far down as I was in TR, and over skilled, with a useless apothacary, and 2 CWs out with SI's (one in turn 2), and all else considered, I should've lost easily. Instead, a tie. I can live with that.”
“Note the TR difference was mainly due to 500K cash so the skill difference was not that great.
----------------
My opponent played very well and made no mistakes or silly moves the entire game. However, despite the luck meter, he was helped a lot by some shocking rolls on my part. With 5 turns to score in the first half, I roll a double skulls and reroll it to a double skulls (something I repeat in the second half) which allows my opponent to swarm my backfield and ball carrier and really damage my chance of scoring.
His Minotaur was amazing too. Despite only doing one KO, he survived almost 13 turns of Wild Animal traps, despite me often sticking 2 Str 5 guys next to his Mino and getting two dice my choice. I just could not get the 11/36 skull on one dice.
For the game, I rolled 6 double skulls, on two occasions getting double skulls and rerolling to get the same. Also got a one dice skull rerolled to a skull twice. So I don't know how on earth I finished with a higher luck rating than my opponent. The only thing he failed was his apothecary roll and dodges with his Stand Firm guy all day!
Anyways, it was a tight contest and I gained a FF for a draw and got no injuries so no damage apart from the old coach rating.
Good luck with your team Kaz.”
