“Very harsh game. Started well for the necros, I'm the greatest meaning twahnlow hopeful Xies-ler-aym sat out in favour of his hulking teammate Kysht while Bribe the Ref gave them free rein to put in the boot. The skinks did win the toss and elect to receive first but were somewhat stymied by a first up Perfect D. Cue a KO for Zargithis and the lizards were looking badly outnumbered and in a spot of bother. That was where it all fell apart though. Eyeuieelinsh took over ball handling duties in the absence of Xies-ler-aym and performed competently. A snake eyed gfi by Richie III early in the turn then left things wide open for Ckndtckaiouei to snatch his first recovering after a fumbled hand off from Eyeuieelinsh while Kysht tried to even the numbers a little.
The restart didn't improve matters for the Heroes with both big lizards retaking the field although a quick start got them under way swiftly. Another foul, another KO and Ghsrss was back off the pitch but Jealousguy made a pass to Zargithis that left him in range of Slilrl and the big veteran saurus made a key play taking him down and getting a favourable scatter roll. The necros did manage to clear the ball a little removing a skink and saurus from next to it but were unable to control it with a couple of fumbles passing it on to big Slilrl who snagged it. Ckndtckaiouei continued his run around the far side of the brawl, Slilrl broke free of the surrouding zombies and handed it off. Disastrously for the necros, Ssilh chose this moment to recall his past life as a saurus and refused to hit Thndwdaieeu, electing to fall on his face instead leaving Ckndtckaiouei with nothing to do but put the result beyond doubt.
This was too much for the necros who stormed off the pitch to find whichever priest had placed the curse on them abandoning the match and leaving the lizards jubilant at survival and success.
This game really did turn on two critical snake eyes and one flukey scatter, although putting the ball just within range of the blitzing saurus opened up the possibility of the second part.
** Twahnlows **
3 points: #14 Zargithis. Hit hard and managed to cause some difficulties through reducing numbers.
2 points: #4 JealousGuy. His blitz to put Stthsouayi off the pitch almost gave the necros a chance to recover before fumbling the pickup roll.
1 point: #1 Axe. Basically he did his job of being big and inconvenient and didn't mess it up too badly.”
