“I didn't do myself any favours in the first half... managed to get a double 1 on a gfi half way through my move, leaving the thrower exposed to 2 amazons. I used my Wizard at that point and stunned the ball carrier, but I couldn't get close enough to get the ball. They then proceeded to hold up play, a little before scoring.
However, a little luck enabled me to score an equaliser with some true elf bowling.
The 2nd half way more tight, and with the amazons receiving they defended the ball carrier well, but were frustrated with some less than average blocking. The Dark Elves really tried everything they could to stop the score, but in turn 8 the amazons saw an opening and made a simple score.
Tricktickler was not impressed with his blocking, but his "never failed" dodging more than made up for it. I was annoyed with myself for not only going 0-1 down so early but for expending my wizard in a hopeless situation. I had a number of double ones and skulls thrown into the mix which really didn't help my cause either!
However, although pleasant throughout, I think Tricktickler really pushed it with the length of time it took to move... with the game getting to 2hours 18 minutes... it's not Grand Master chess here... but hey... he won... Perhaps I shouldn't have said that I needed to go out, because the speed never improved much and I rushed some of my plays to get out.
Good luck in the next stage Tricktickler... just please work on the speed!!”
