“Had a feeling this would be the first loss the Orcs suffered, after standing there and watching a quality move turn into a touchdown, and my orcs nowhere near the receiving player.
Bit Ur Soltt (how glad am i the apo saved him from death last game?) nailed one of the linemen, and all looked bleak for the Elf until their apo saved him. (Killed, apo).
The kickoff came and... Blitz! Damn! Lack of Fan Factor once more coming to bite me on the butt!
My opponent however ran right out of luck at that point.. and every turn after resulted in a failed block/end turn, so in the space of two turns his luck had changed from 80s to 40s. Harsh indeed.
The second death (Molgan Banestar) came from a crowdsurf unfortunately. I needed him out of the way for my blitzers to get running and the initial block was a pushback, so up stepped another to block.
Splat. Nailed by the crowd.
The equalizer was run in, but the game was looking decidely bad for the DE. Out of luck, apo used, one player dead, Orcs in the prime of health and luck, the game would have been long indeed for the Dark Elves unless their luck improved.
It wasn't to be.
My own dark Elf team (preceding this one) I retired for the same reasons - lack of ability to do much really. 4 Ag is a waste of time when you see a 2Ag opponent dodge better than you can, which points out that luck, if you have it, can win you games and smash your opponent to pieces.
I had the luck today.
Jonny didn't. Sorry :(”
