“1 sided blocktastic luck involving a knockdown with every block (tm) meant most of the time I was getting up off the floor and not doing much.
Where the luck meter gets it's garbage from I have no idea - the result was a fair one, but I was robbed of the win by a single... just one dammit, gfi, which had been failing all game. Those and the endless series of double skulls ate my rerolls, and left me feeling like Nuffle had 'bitched me up' again. The 8ball in my mouth and the tie at the back pvc jumpsuit were also subtle clues.
I dare say a rematch should be on the cards, but that involves sitting down at a computer and I'll not be able to sit for a while...
To be fair, I scored more in the way of quality hits - KOs etc, and the apo'd death (though Hartfang will be cursing the apo'd player no doubt, but a MNG is nothing), but the sheer number of ended turns from failed dice rolls made the game disjointed and stop start. In the last 3 turns of the 2nd half the Nuffles rot spread to the orcs thankfully (for me) but also screwed me over when the win was in my grasp.
Right, off to apply me piles cream.
Good fair opponent, no fouling, no messing about, just too damn lucky for 13 turns (at least in the no skulls blocking stakes) for my liking :P Oh yeah, a blitz kickoff result as well just to rub it in! Grrrrrr.
