Kaylah was originally an orphan on the streets of Borosia, and one of the first orphans who were supported by the new Borosian rule to gain the opportunities to do something with their lives. Kaylah has always been thankful for that, and this practical experience has made her realise that this is not to be taken for granted. In many other places, like for example Ryder's Cove, life is not so easy, and for that reason, she sees it as life's purpose to see Harmony cover the entire continent, so that no orphan is left to the mercies of an uncaring community.
