Rockbottom captained Chef's Suprise through 9 games, with 7 defeats and 2 draws. Unfortunately the draws were not enough to stave of the mounting criticism. The final straw came when Rockbottom refused to play because of a niggling injury, and management sacked him after the game. He took up a position as Assistant Coach to the Waterboy.
