Background

Tommi's rather unusual surname comes from the black ring he sports on the index finger of his throwing hand. Some have dismissed it as a simple mood ring that echoes the dark shades of Tommi's relentless, precise mind; others claim it is in fact a sodden bandage, an attempt to cover up the single injuried mark on his otherwise spotless career. The thrower himself insists it is a family heirloom, one that grants the wearer excessively good, or excessively bad, luck; consdiering Tommi hails from a proud, yet useless, line of High Elf linemen, a clan so incompetent on the Bloodbowl field they were robbed by their own teammates and booted into the relative poverty of Oldbrick, the malicious potential of the ring certainly has historical basis. Perhaps Tommi can be the one to reverse his family's fortunes.

After 5 games / his 5th game

Tommi has quickly become the model of consistency in the Arrows' backfield. Boasting a record of almost 4 passes a game in his young career, his touch and reliability have seen him never fumble a pass. In addition, he is accurate over a great distance, throwing a bomb to the endzone from the halfway line for the team's only score in the 1-1 draw against the Historical Arsonists Chaos Dwarf Team.

After 6 games / his 6th game

In a clash against the High Elf Washington Heights Ballers, Tommi broke several records: he recorded a career-high 8 completions, and a career longest-throw, launching a bomb from the halfway line to Tauran Bluesoul waiting in the endzone at the end of the first half. Tommi also suffered his first injury, a knockout, and the team held its collective breath as the mortal realities of Bloodbowl were almost smashed clear in front of them.

After 7 games / his 7th game

The Arrows' tight 1-1 draw against the Skaven TrainRat team included an unwanted first for Tommi; he fumbled his first pass, dropping the ball in the dying seconds of the match as a teammate stood unmarked a yard from the endzone. Since, Tommi has been working relentlessly on training his finger strength to ensure such tragedies do not again occur in clutch moments. The coaching staff, however, are worried by his choice of digit-strengthening exercises: playing thumb wars with Black Orcs at the Oldbrick tavern, the Soaked Cobble.

After 8 games / his 8th game

In the team's horrific 3-0 loss to the Human Kislevko Bears, in which the Arrows ended the game with three players on the pitch, Tommi picked up the first serious injury of his career, pinching a nerve in his neck and having to sit out the side's following game. While a similar fate befell poor Greyforge Fillies thrower Peytania Manring several seasons ago, Tommi won't have his contract terminated by an ownership looking to "move on" to a new thrower.

After 12 games / his 11th game

Tommi met his end against the Undead King of Pain team, a squad who lived up to their name by reducing the Arrows to three players on the pitch by the end of the game en route to a 2-1 victory. He completed a single pass in the match, before being killed and reanimated as a zombie for the King of Pain; while his once-spectacular throwing arm has now rotted away into decaying flesh, he will continue to play the game he adored in life. His ring was given to the team so that it may be passed to his family; although at this point, the clan are considering changing their name to Luckyfoot and abandoning the whole 'cursed ring' business altogether.
