The Candlelight vigil for Runnt Snotmuva was a somber affair. Standing room only, the whole team, coaching staff, management and hordes of Spiders’ fans sat together in an eerie Spiders Web Stadium paying their last respects to their departed Superstar player who had died instantly during their last match following a trip caused by tied bootlaces.
As the candles burned down a figure flitted at lightning speed, barely even noticeable, throughout the assembly.
Suddenly, the figure appeared in a shaft of light at the very apex of the stadium, dressed head to toe in black and sporting a cape and mask.
The crowd gasped and stood up in awe ...
And all fell over on account of their bootlaces all being tied together.
‘Behold!’ Declared the figure.
‘The ultimate tied-boot-laces gag and the ultimate tribute to Runnt Snotmuva!’
The crowd cheered from the floor.
‘I am... The Banterdactyl!’ Boomed the figure. And with that he leaped into the night and soared away to rapturous cheers and applause...
