Born William Pratt, in the hamlet of Sunnydale in the Moot. In his human life, William was an unsuccessful and unappreciated romantic poet known as William the Bloody, for his "bloody awful" poetry, though after he became a vampire, that moniker was re-purposed to imply he was very violent. As a mortal he idolized Blood Bowl Players, and was awed by their strength and grace on the field. After being sired by Drusilla, a local vampire countess, William found himself in possession of strength and agility he never had as a human. He reinvented himself as a Blood Bowl player. Following two highly successful seasons playing for the Sunnydale Razorbacks, a Halfling team, he was signed by Coach Carpenter.
