The small village Blech, located at the border of the Bleakwood, had always had a witch. In fact, the only reason that the village could remain this close to the haunted forest was the pact that existed between the village and the forest, and the human sacrifices necessary to uphold it. So when a travelling witch hunter uncovered the dark arrangement and burned the witch at the stake, the village was doomed.
After a night of undescribable horror the villagers as well as the witch hunter and his band of zealots were all dead. The only sound that could be heard as dawn came was the bitter laughter of Grizelda, the witch, as her unholy spirit rose from the ashes of her burnt corpse.
